Our Initial Service Program in 15 Steps When you call Blue Chip for the first time, we won’t send a high-pressure salesperson to sign you up for a year’s worth of service before we ever solve your pest problem. We will send out one of our highly trained technicians to solve your problem first. You can decide if you want one of our service programs after you’ve experienced our service, staff and results, not before. Here’s what to expect, step by step:
- Before we enter your house, we will place shoe covers on our feet to protect your home.
- We will go through your home with you, making a full inspection and listening to you describe what you have seen. After all, you’re there day and night and know your home inside and out.
- After we have diagnosed the problem, we will discuss with you how we will attack the problem, inside and out.
- We will then retrieve the proper materials and equipment from our service vehicle to start your service and eliminate the problem.
- We will treat your home using the latest methods and materials, placing an emphasis on putting materials where pests are either going to come into your home or where they will live once they’ve made their way inside.
- If your house has a basement, this is where we will spend a fair amount of time. This is the most common area to find pests as they enter, and since most basements are dark and damp, it makes an inviting environment for them to live. We will also do an inspection for rodent activity in this area.
- Upstairs, we pay special attention to kitchens, baths and the pantry – areas pests will go once they’re inside.
- We also will treat windows, doors and plumbing accesses – common areas where pests enter.
- In the garage, we will treat the perimeter, around the garage door and in the corners for spiders. We will also inspect for evidence of rodent activity in these areas.
- Outside the house, we will treat around all accessible windows and doors, under siding, along the foundation, and around any utility entrances.
- We will then treat 8 to 10 feet out from your home with either a truck-mounted sprayer or granular material to create a barrier that pests can’t cross to enter your home.
- When we are done, your home will be left in the same condition it was found in, minus the pests.
- We will review your service with you, letting you know what we found both inside and out. If there are concerns, we will give you a written report detailing how you can help prevent future pest problems.
- We will also give you options for service programs to prevent pests from ever bugging you again.
- After we leave, we will ask for your feedback either on our Web site or through our Report Card surveys. Let us know how we are doing and what could have been done to improve your service experience.
Our 365 Pest Prevention Program in 5 Steps Before we arrive for a scheduled exterior treatment, we will send you a reminder e-mail about a week in advance. If you have seen any pests, you can let us know, and we will schedule a time to come inside if needed or make sure to pay special attention to that part of your home. Here’s what happens with 365 Pest Prevention:
- When our technicians arrive, we will check with you first if you are home to discuss any problems or concerns since the last service visit.
- First, we will treat entry points around your house, such as around windows and doors, under siding, and around utility entries into the home.
- We will go around your house a second time, either using a truck-mounted sprayer or a granular treatment, depending on the pests and the season, to create a large barrier that pests can’t cross into your home.
- When we are finished, we will review your service with you, letting you know what we found and making recommendations to help prevent pests.
- If you are not home, we will leave you our Report Card, giving you all the details along with your service ticket.
